In Friday's non-league game, the Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) football team knocked off the visiting Ralls Jackrabbits (Ralls, TX), by a score of 42-21.

The Steers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Bovina (Bovina, TX). The Mustangs come into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Bovina toppled Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX), 29-14, in a non-league game.

The Jackrabbits now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Clarendon for a non-league game on Friday, September 3. Ralls will battle a Broncos team coming off a 29-0 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, TX). The Broncos record now stands at 1-0.
