August 27, 2022: Covington, VA 24426 The Alleghany Mountaineers volleyball team (Covington, VA), went down 2-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Covington Cougars (Covington, VA)
The Cougars (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Cross (Roanoke, VA). The Raiders enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, North Cross defeated Craig County (New Castle, VA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mountaineers encounter the Bath County Chargers (Hot Springs, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Chargers enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Riverheads (Staunton, VA).
