The Athens Hornets held off the visiting Grand Saline Indians volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Hornets now have a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elkhart for a non-league test on Saturday, August 27. Athens will confront a Elks team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Crandall (Crandall, TX). The Elks record now stands at 3-6.

The Indians (0-12) will now prepare for their test against Corrigan-Camden (Corrigan, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league test with a 0-7 record.
