August 27, 2024: Williamstown, KY 41097 Williamstown Demons (Williamstown, KY) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Williamstown improves its record to 3-0 on the season. The Demons host Trimble County (Bedford, KY) to face the Raiders in a non-league test on Wednesday, August 28. The Raiders go into the test with a record of 2-1. Trimble County won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Newport (Newport, KY)
The Wildcats now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newport Central Catholic for a District 36 test on Wednesday, August 28. Newport will face a Thoroughbreds squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Oldenburg Academy (Oldenburg, IN). The Thoroughbreds record now stands at 3-1.
