Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights (Fort Wayne, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, August 30. Homestead will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Knights enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to South Adams (Berne, IN).
