August 28, 2023: Denver, NC 28037 East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC) supporters were pleased Monday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Mustangs confront the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 30. East Lincoln will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 9-0 non-league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
The Pioneers now possess a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to R.J. Reynolds for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 30. Watauga will confront a Demons team coming off a 7-5 non-league win over Winston-Salem Christian (Winston-Salem, NC). The Demons record now stands at 4-0.
