Oklahoma High School Softball - Asher bounces Wetumka
August 28, 2023: Asher, OK 74826 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Asher Indians (Asher, OK) and the visiting Wetumka Chieftains (Wetumka, OK), witnessed Asher's softball squad prevail over Wetumka by a count of 16-1.
The Indians now sport a 13-6 record. They play next when they travel to Varnum for a Class B match on Monday, August 28. Asher will face a Whippets squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Wapanucka (Wapanucka, OK). The Whippets record now stands at 6-11.
With the loss, Wetumka moves to 2-7 on the season. The Chieftains travel to Vanoss (Ada, OK) to face the Wolves in a non-league match on Friday, September 1. The Wolves go into the match with a record of 10-13. Vanoss won 11-0 in their recent non-league match against Earlsboro (Earlsboro, OK)
