The Oologah Mustangs nipped the host Coweta Tigers softball squad by a final score of 7-6 in Monday's non-league battle.

The Mustangs (5-11) will now prepare for their battle against Verdigris (Claremore, OK). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Verdigris held off Inola (Inola, OK), 7-1, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 5-13 record. They play next when they host Bishop Kelley for a 5A District 3 battle on Tuesday, August 29. Coweta will confront a Comets squad coming off a 21-11 non-league win over Catoosa (Catoosa, OK). The Comets record now stands at 1-10.
