North Carolina High School Volleyball - Southwest Guilford can't hold off Cornerstone Charter

August 28, 2023: Greensboro, NC 27409

In Monday's non-league battle, the host Cornerstone Charter Cardinals volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Southwest Guilford Cowboys.

The Cardinals (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Triad Math and Science Academy (Greensboro, NC). The Bengals come into the Northwest Piedmont 1A battle with a 1-3 record. In their last battle, Triad Math and Science Academy nudged Carver (Winston-Salem, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cowboys encounter the Page Pirates (Greensboro, NC) in a Metro 4A battle, on Tuesday, August 29. Southwest Guilford will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Pirates come into the battle with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to High Point Christian Academy (High Point, NC).
