Michigan High School Football - Fruitport thwarted by Spring Lake
August 28, 2025: Fruitport, MI 49415 Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their football squad thwart the host Fruitport Trojans (Fruitport, MI), 42-14 in a non-league match.
The Lakers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Gladwin (Gladwin, MI). The Flying G's come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Gladwin was beaten by Flat Rock (Flat Rock, MI), 43-26, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Trojans confront the Big Rapids Cardinals (Big Rapids, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Fruitport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Cardinals come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 19-7 non-league win over Paw Paw (Paw Paw, MI).
