August 28, 2025: Edison, NJ 08820 The Lakewood Piners football squad scored 42 points and limited the host J.P. Stevens Hawks to 8 in the Piners non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Piners now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Keyport for a non-league test on Friday, September 5.
The Hawks (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bound Brook (Bound Brook, NJ). The Crusaders enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Bound Brook was ripped by North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ), 32-27, in a non-league challenge.
