The New Buffalo Bison football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Lakers to 18 in the Bison league triumph on Thursday.
The Bison now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Calvin Christian for a Southwestern Michigan I (8 Man) test on Friday, September 5. New Buffalo will play a Squires team coming off a 24-8 non-league loss to Rogers City (Rogers City, MI). The Squires record now stands at 0-1.
The Lakers (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Bridgman (Bridgman, MI). The Bees go into the Southwestern Michigan I (8 Man) challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Bridgman was edged by Martin (Martin, MI), 58-20, in a non-league challenge.
