August 28, 2025: Grand Rapids, MI 49525 Sacred Heart Academy (Grand Rapids, MI) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host NorthPointe Christian Mustangs (Grand Rapids, MI), 16-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sacred Heart Academy advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The travel to Tri-Unity Christian (Wyoming, MI) to play the Defenders in a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. The Defenders go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Mustangs now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Fennville for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 4. NorthPointe Christian will play a Blackhawks team coming off a 60-6 non-league win over Lawrence (Lawrence, MI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 1-0.
