The Pope John Paul II football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Shawnee Renegades to 19 in the non-league triumph on Thursday.

The now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bayard Rustin for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Pope John Paul II will meet a Golden Knights squad coming off a 35-7 non-league win over Interboro (Prospect Park, PA). The Golden Knights record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Shawnee drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Renegades travel to Williamstown (Williamstown, NJ) to clash with the Braves in a non-league outing on Friday, September 5.
