In Thursday's non-league game, the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) flag football team triumphed over the visiting Canyon Hills Rattlers (San Diego, CA), by a tally of 47-6.

In their next game, the Vaqueros face the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 2. El Capitan will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Highlanders enter the game with a 3-2 record after their 34-0 non-league loss to Brawley (Brawley, CA).
