August 28, 2025: Asheville, NC 28803 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the A.C. Reynolds Rockets (Asheville, NC) and the visiting Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), witnessed A.C. Reynolds's football squad knock off Maiden by a tally of 8-0.
The Rockets (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Smoky Mountain beat North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC), 54-13, in a non-league bout.
The Blue Devils now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to North Lincoln for a non-league contest on Thursday, September 4. Maiden will battle a Knights squad coming off a 34-28 non-league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights record now stands at 1-1.
