August 28, 2025: Troy, NC 27371 The Montgomery Central Timberwolves felled the visiting Anson Bearcats football team by a score of 19-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Timberwolves face the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 4. Montgomery Central will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Comets come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 35-10 non-league win over West Stanly (Oakboro, NC).
With the defeat, Anson drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bearcats host South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to meet the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league test on Thursday, September 4. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls come into the test with a record of 1-1. South Stanly lost 14-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Piedmont (Monroe, NC)
