August 28, 2025: Marion, NC 28752 Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC), 30-8 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Asheville improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Cougars host Crest (Shelby, NC) to meet the Chargers in a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. The Chargers come into the match with a record of 2-0. Crest won 36-8 in their recent non-league match against Shelby (Shelby, NC)
Coming up next, the Titans meet the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 18. McDowell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
