August 28, 2025: Waxhaw, NC 28173 Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team smash the visiting Ballantyne Ridge Wolves (Charlotte, NC), 45-0 in a non-league match.
The Mavericks (2-0) will now prepare for their match against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC). The Knights come into the non-league match with a 0-2 record. In their last match, Ardrey Kell was routed by Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC), 24-16, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Wolves confront the South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 4. Ballantyne Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
