August 28, 2025: Lumberton, NC 28358 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) and the visiting St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC), witnessed Lumberton's football squad knock off St. Pauls by a tally of 26-16.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Westover (Fayetteville, NC). The Wolverines enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Westover gained a win over Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC), 24-22, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host North Brunswick for a non-league bout on Thursday, September 11.
