North Carolina High School Football - South Stanly thwarted by Piedmont
August 28, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110 Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 14-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Piedmont improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Panthers travel to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC) to meet the Mustangs in a non-league match on Thursday, September 4. The Mustangs come into the match with a record of 2-0. East Rowan won 21-6 in their recent non-league match against Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC)
Coming up next, the Rowdy Rebel Bulls meet the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, September 4. South Stanly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Bearcats come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 19-0 non-league loss to Montgomery Central (Troy, NC).
