New York High School Soccer - Andover knocks off Hammondsport
August 28, 2025: Andover, NY 14806 In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Andover Panthers soccer squad scored a tight 5-2 victory over the Hammondsport Lakers.
The Panthers (1-0) will now prepare for their outing against Friendship (Friendship, NY). The Golden Eagles come into the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Friendship by Mount Morris (Mount Morris, NY), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Lakers now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they host Campbell-Savona for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2.
