August 28, 2025: Ortonville, MI 48462 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Lapeer Lightning (Lapeer, MI) and the host Brandon Blackhawks (Ortonville, MI), saw Lapeer's soccer squad hold off Brandon by a count of 3-2.
The Lightning (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI). The Bobcats come into the non-league match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Grand Blanc nipped Adams (Rochester, MI), 1-0, in a non-league match.
The Blackhawks now sport a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kearsley for a Flint Metro match on Wednesday, September 3.
