Illinois High School Soccer - McHenry nudges Grant Community
August 28, 2025: McHenry, IL 60050 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the McHenry Warriors (McHenry, IL) and the visiting Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL), saw McHenry's soccer squad hold off Grant Community by a count of 3-2.
The Warriors (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL). The Bison enter the non-league battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Buffalo Grove was edged by Bartlett (Bartlett, IL), 2-1, in a non-league match.
The Bulldogs now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cary-Grove for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 2. Grant Community will meet a Trojans team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Stevenson (Lincolnshire, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 1-2.
