August 28, 2025: Chicago Heights, IL 60411 Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Marian Catholic Spartans (Chicago Heights, IL), 7-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Lincoln-Way East moves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Chicago Mt. Carmel (Chicago, IL) to meet the Caravan in a non-league test on Saturday, August 30. The Caravan come into the test with a record of 1-1. Chicago Mt. Carmel 1-1 in their recent non-league outing against Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL)
Next up, the Spartans confront the Rich Township Raptors (Olympia Fields, IL) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, September 4. Marian Catholic will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Raptors enter the outing with a 1-0 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Tinley Park (Tinley Park, IL).
