Georgia High School Softball - Southwest topped by East Laurens
August 28, 2025: East Dublin, GA 31027 East Laurens Falcons (East Dublin, GA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Southwest Patriots (Macon, GA), 20-0 in a league game.
With the triumph, East Laurens improves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Falcons travel to Washington County (Sandersville, GA) to play the Golden Hawks in a 1A D-I Region 2 match on Tuesday, September 2. The Golden Hawks come into the match with a record of 8-5. Washington County lost 12-4 in their recent league match against Dodge County (Eastman, GA)
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Academy for Classical Education Gryphons (Macon, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 2 match, on Tuesday, September 2. Southwest will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Gryphons come into the match with a 6-4 record after their 8-0 league win over Dublin (Dublin, GA).
