August 28, 2025: Rome, GA 30161 The Model Blue Devils overwhelmed the visiting Heard County Braves softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Blue Devils meet the Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 2. Model will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Warriors come into the battle with a 0-9 record after their 16-0 league loss to Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA).
With the loss, Heard County moves to 4-4 on the season. The Braves travel to Newnan (Newnan, GA) to encounter the Cougars in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 3. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 7-7. Newnan lost 13-1 in their recent league test against Northgate (Newnan, GA)
