South Dakota High School Volleyball - Hamlin held off by Brookings

August 28, 2025: Hayti, SD 57241

In Thursday's non-league test, the visiting Brookings Bobcats volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Hamlin Chargers.

With the win, Brookings improves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Spearfish (Spearfish, SD) to face the Spartans in a AA District 1 test on Saturday, August 30. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Chargers now own a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Great Plains Lutheran for a A Region 2 test on Tuesday, September 2. Hamlin will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Florence/Henry (Florence, SD). The Panthers record now stands at 2-0.
