The West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) volleyball held off the visiting Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Raiders now possess a 4-12 record. They play next when they travel to Upson-Lee for a 3A Area 1 bout on Tuesday, September 2. West Laurens will confront a Knights squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Ola (McDonough, GA). The Knights record now stands at 8-11.
