In Monday's non-league contest, the First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) volleyball squad knocked off the visiting Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech Griffins (Elizabeth City, NC), by a margin of 3-0.

Next up, the Nighthawks battle the Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 31. First Flight will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Manteo (Manteo, NC).
