Illinois High School Soccer - Hononegah held off by Jefferson
August 29, 2023: Rockford, IL 61109 The crowd at Tuesday's league test between the Jefferson J-Hawks (Rockford, IL) and the visiting Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL), saw Jefferson's soccer squad get by Hononegah by a margin of 2-1.
The J-Hawks now sport a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Morton for a non-league test on Friday, September 1. Jefferson will meet a Potters squad coming off a 9-0 league win over Canton (Canton, IL). The Potters record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Hononegah drops to 0-2 on the season. The Indians travel to Harlem (Machesney Park, IL) to meet the Huskies in a Northern Illinois NIC-10 test on Thursday, August 31. The Huskies come into the test with a record of 3-1. Harlem won 3-1 in their recent league test against Rockford Auburn (Rockford, IL)
