The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Sumter Gamecocks (Sumter, SC) and the visiting Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), saw Sumter's volleyball squad nip Aiken by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Sumter upgrades its record to 7-0 on the year. The Gamecocks host Wilson Hall (Sumter, SC) to play the Barons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Barons go into the bout with a record of 11-0. Wilson Hall won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Heathwood Hall Episcopal (Columbia, SC)

The Fighting Green Hornets now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lakewood for a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. Aiken will play a Gators squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Lee Central (Bishopville, SC). The Gators record now stands at 0-1.
