In Tuesday's non-league battle, the visiting Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Port Allen Pelicans.

The Hornets (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA). The Tigers come into the Division V District 3 battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, East Iberville achieved victory over West St. John (Edgard, LA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
