In Tuesday's league contest, the Marion Patriots (Marion, AR) volleyball squad edged the visiting Valley View Blazers (Jonesboro, AR), by a margin of 3-2.

Next up, the Patriots battle the Nettleton Raiders (Jonesboro, AR) in a 5A East contest, on Thursday, August 31. Marion will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Raiders come into the contest with a 3-0 record after their 3-2 league win over West Memphis (West Memphis, AR).

With the loss, Valley View drops to 3-3 on the campaign. The Blazers host Batesville (Batesville, AR) to battle the Pioneers in a 5A East contest on Thursday, August 31. The Pioneers come into the contest with a record of 3-3. Batesville won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Paragould (Paragould, AR)
