August 29, 2023: Newport Beach, CA 92625 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) and the host Sage Hill Lightning (Newport Beach, CA), saw Newport Harbor's volleyball squad beat Sage Hill by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Newport Harbor upgrades its record to 7-3 on the year. The Sailors travel to Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, August 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-0. Santa Margarita won 3-1 in their recent non-league bout against Edison (Huntington Beach, CA)
The Lightning now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they host Segerstrom for a non-league bout on Friday, September 1. Sage Hill will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Century (Santa Ana, CA). The Jaguars record now stands at 5-1.
