Tennessee High School Soccer - St. George's knocks off Westminster Academy
August 29, 2024: Collierville, TN 38017 Spectators at Thursday's league challenge between the St. George's Gryphons (Collierville, TN) and the visiting Westminster Academy Defenders (Memphis, TN), observed St. George's's soccer squad triumph over Westminster Academy by a margin of 5-0.
The Gryphons now hold a 4-1 record. They play next when they travel to First Assembly Christian for a D II-A West 6 challenge on Tuesday, September 3. St. George's will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Northpoint Christian (Southaven, MS). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-4.
With the loss, Westminster Academy moves to 1-1 on the year. The Defenders travel to Evangelical Christian (Cordova, TN) to encounter the Eagles in a D II-A West 6 challenge on Tuesday, September 3. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 3-2. Evangelical Christian won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Harding Academy (Memphis, TN)
