August 29, 2024: Hopkins, SC 29061 The Spring Valley Vikings football squad scored 13 points and limited the host Lower Richland Diamond Hornets to 12 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Vikings now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chapin for a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. Spring Valley will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 14-12 non-league win over A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Lower Richland drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Diamond hornets host West Florence (Florence, SC) to meet the Knights in a non-league test on Thursday, September 5. The Knights come into the test with a record of 0-2. West Florence lost 35-22 in their recent non-league test against Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC)
