Colorado High School Football - Northfield can't hold off Roosevelt
August 29, 2024: Johnstown, CO 80534 Roosevelt Roughriders (Johnstown, CO) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team tip the visiting Northfield Nighthawks (Denver, CO), 18-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Roosevelt improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Roughriders travel to Holy Family (Broomfield, CO) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 7. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 0-0.
The Nighthawks now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Mesa Ridge for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 7. Northfield will play a Grizzlies team coming off a 46-27 non-league win over Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO). The Grizzlies record now stands at 1-0.
