August 29, 2024: Mooresboro, NC 28114 Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Thomas Jefferson advances its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Gryphons travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to clash with the Bearcats in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 4. The Bearcats come into the test with a record of 2-2. Hendersonville lost 4-0 in their recent non-league test against A.C. Reynolds (Asheville, NC)
The Vikings now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Ashe County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 3. Avery County will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 7-0.
