August 29, 2024: Metropolis, IL 62960 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) and the visiting St. Mary Vikings (Paducah, KY), observed Massac County's soccer squad triumph over St. Mary by a margin of 6-0.
The Patriots now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lyon County for a non-league challenge on Friday, August 30. Massac County will encounter a Lyons squad coming off a 7-3 non-league loss to Heritage Christian Academy (Hopkinsville, KY). The Lyons record now stands at 0-5.
With the loss, St. Mary moves to 0-7 on the year. The Vikings travel to Trigg County (Cadiz, KY) to encounter the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, September 2.
