August 29, 2024: Flowery Branch, GA 30542 The Madison County Red Raiders overwhelmed the host Flowery Branch Falcons softball squad by a count of 9-3 in Thursday's league challenge.
Next, the Red Raiders meet the Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 4. Madison County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 12-2 record after their 9-1 league loss to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA).
The Falcons (2-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Eastside (Covington, GA). The Eagles go into the 4A Region 8 challenge with a 8-0 record. In their last challenge, Eastside held off Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA), 5-0, in a league challenge.
