The Carson Cougars volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the host North Stanly Comets to 1 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Concord for a South Piedmont 3A outing on Tuesday, September 3. Carson will play a Spiders team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Spiders record now stands at 1-8.

With the loss, North Stanly drops to 5-6 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Union Academy (Monroe, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A outing on Tuesday, September 3. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 4-3. Union Academy lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC)
