In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Garden Spot Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Solanco Golden Mules.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lampeter-Strasburg (Lampeter, PA). The Pioneers come into the Lancaster-Lebanon 2 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Lampeter-Strasburg was beaten by Manheim Central (Manheim, PA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Golden Mules meet the Veritas Academy Monarch (Leola, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, August 31. Solanco will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
