North Carolina High School Volleyball - Murphy Swain County

In Thursday's league match, the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Murphy Bulldogs (Murphy, NC), by a count of 3-1.

Next up, the Maroon Devils battle the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) in a Big Smoky Mountain 1A match, on Tuesday, September 3. Swain County will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Braves enter the match with a 7-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Hayesville (Hayesville, NC).

The Bulldogs (1-3) will now prepare for their match against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats go into the Big Smoky Mountain 1A game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Andrews went down by Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
