Missouri High School Football - University City tops Burroughs
August 29, 2025: St. Louis, MO 63130 The University City Lions football squad scored 20 points and limited the visiting Burroughs Bombers to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Ste. Genevieve for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. University City will meet a Dragons squad coming off a 49-35 non-league win over St. Vincent (Perryville, MO). The Dragons record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Burroughs falls to 0-1 on the year. The Bombers host Jennings (Jennings, MO) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Jennings won 33-26 in their recent non-league challenge against McCluer (Florissant, MO)
