The Herscher Tigers got by the host Canton Little Giants football team by a score of 42-38 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 5. Herscher will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Fightin' Irish come into the test with a 1-0 record after their 58-0 non-league win over Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL).

With the defeat, Canton drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Little giants travel to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to meet the Tornadoes in a non-league test on Friday, September 5.
