Pennsylvania High School Football - Greater Nanticoke Area trounced by Carbondale Area
August 29, 2025: Nanticoke, PA 18634 Carbondale Area Chargers (Carbondale, PA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Greater Nanticoke Area Trojans (Nanticoke, PA), 37-2 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Carbondale Area advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Chargers travel to Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA) to play the Royals in a non-league battle on Saturday, September 6. The Royals go into the battle with a record of 0-2. Holy Redeemer lost 55-7 in their recent non-league battle against Tunkhannock (Tunkhannock, PA)
The Trojans now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Pittston for a non-league battle on Friday, September 5. Greater Nanticoke Area will play a Patriots team coming off a 34-21 non-league loss to North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-1.
