August 29, 2025: West Helena, AR 72390 The Central Cougars football squad scored 50 points and limited the visiting Watson Chapel Wildcats to 14 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Friday.
The Cougars now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Earle for a non-league test on Friday, September 5. Central will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-22 non-league win over Barton (Lexa, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Watson Chapel drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Crossett (Crossett, AR) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 5. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Crossett lost 45-8 in their recent non-league test against Prescott (Prescott, AR)
