Hawaii High School Football - Pearl City over McKinley
August 29, 2025: Pearl City, HI 96782 Spectators at Friday's league bout between the Pearl City Chargers (Pearl City, HI) and the visiting McKinley Tigers (Honolulu, HI), saw Pearl City's football team gain a win over McKinley by a final score of 34-13.
With the win, Pearl City advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Chargers travel to Waialua (Waialua, HI) to confront the Bulldogs in a OIA II match on Thursday, September 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-2. Waialua lost 51-6 in their recent non-league battle against Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO)
The Tigers now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Castle for a OIA II battle on Friday, September 5. McKinley will play a Knights team coming off a 48-14 league loss to Kalaheo (Kailua, HI). The Knights record now stands at 0-4.
