August 29, 2025: Birmingham, AL 35204

The Parker Thundering Herd football squad scored 27 points and limited the visiting Mountain Brook Spartans to 11 in the Thundering Herd non-league triumph on Friday.

The Thundering Herd now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Gardendale for a 6A Region 5 test on Thursday, September 4. Parker will meet a Rockets squad coming off a 42-15 non-league win over Pinson Valley (Pinson, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 1-1.

With the defeat, Mountain Brook drops to 1-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Hueytown (Hueytown, AL) to meet the Golden Gophers in a non-league test on Friday, September 5. The Golden Gophers come into the test with a record of 0-1. Hueytown lost 42-15 in their recent non-league challenge against Clay-Chalkville (Pinson, AL)
